HOW DID WE DO?

Expenses

Total:  $29056 (pesos)

As you can see we spent all your money and then some!  I have images of almost all the receipts, but Mexico is very much a cash-based society and for informal work or hand-made products, you don't always get one.  We bought other stuff too for Rosario and her family.  We went to a charity clothing shop and filled several big plastic bags with clothes for the family.  I always made sure when we traveled they were well fed and incurred no travel costs.

Did it make a difference?  I think so. I did not expect any improvement in Rosario, but the management of her has become MUCH easier for the family and as you can see, she can now get out of the house and feel the sunshine on her face and hear the village.  Some items were for her treatment and were bought because the therapists recommended them and the family so desperately wanted to comply.

We spent more than we took in and that's ok.  There are costs that are on-going, but it I can manage them.  Now if you want to help out, there is another deserving case.  We are collecting funds for a young, single mother with two little daughters who has bone cancer in her foot and needs her lower leg amputated before it spreads.  She has exhausted her co-pay, so we going to take care of the rest and all the aftercare, including a prosthetic leg.  Did I mention she also takes care of her grandmother who is on dialysis?  Anyway get the full story here http://prylett.wix.com/help4fatima
